Fundraise for Day One

Major trauma changes lives in an instant: physically, emotionally, financially.

Your support helps people to to rebuild their lives. We don’t receive any government funding and rely on the generosity of people like you to help us be by the side of major trauma patients and their families, from day one. Your kindness helps give patients and families the support they need, for as long as they need it. Thank you.

Remote and Virtual Fundraising

We’re sure that you’ve have been keeping your friends and family entertained online during lockdown. And what better way to raise some money for Day One Trauma Support than to have fun, complete a challenge and keep connected with those that matter the most? All you need to do is set up an online fundraising page to collect donations for your challenge or event.

Fundraising in your Community

Who doesn’t love a coffee morning or a bake sale? When lockdown measures ease, we can’t wait to see what great fundraising activities you come up with. You might like to consider some of these ideas:

  • School: organise a mufti-day where everyone wears orange in support of Day One Trauma Support, or put on a school disco, talent show or sponsored read
  • University: get involved with your Student’s Union to put on a themed night or event
  • Your faith group: arrange a collection amongst the congregation. Contact us if you’d like someone from Day One to come and speak.

Virtual fundraising ideas

  • Donate your commute
  • A week, a month or until you’re back in the office – that’s a life-changing amount of money you could raise!
  • Encourage your colleagues to do the same and create a team on here to raise money together.
  • Ask for donations instead of gifts for your birthday
  • Have a virtual birthday party: a cocktail hour and playlist
  • Host a virtual cook-along dinner party
