Volunteer

Join an incredible team of volunteers helping us to raise the profile of major trauma, provide peer support and fundraise

Be a champion

A big part of improving awareness of the needs of major trauma patients and putting Day One Trauma Support ‘on the map’ is having a presence in the communities located around each of the Major Trauma Centres. This means talking to people and groups about the issues that major trauma patients and their families face, the gaps in support when people are discharged from hospital and the reality of the adjusting to their new life. If you’re comfortable sharing your story with others, we’d be delighted to help you. Please contact Kirsty Christmas.

Peer support

Providing peer support to major trauma patients and their loved ones is at the heart of our work. We provide training to people with lived experience of major trauma to help them support others, from day one, for as long as they need it.

Support our fundraising

Fundraising is a busy business! We always welcome an extra pair of hands to help behind the scenes in the office, as well as out and about at events. You should know, we make a good brew.

If you’re interested to lend a hand, get in touch!

Regional committees

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our regional committees. Can you help us to raise the profile of Day One, open doors to the business, media and entertainment sectors, and raise the money we need to create real change for major trauma patients and their families? If this sounds like you, please contact Kirsty Christmas.
