Dear me...
is an honest, powerful and enlightening glimpse into what it’s like coping with life-changing injury, and an inspiring insight into rebuilding life after major trauma.
Earlier this year, we encouraged people affected by catastrophic injury to participate in a therapeutic writing project. Those involved each wrote a deeply personal message back to themselves at an earlier time in their recovery journey. You‘ll find extracts from the letters here, and you can even watch some of the participants read them to you. We hope these letters help participants look back to move forward. To reflect on how far they’ve come. We hope we’re all inspired by their recovery, bravery and resilience.
If you've been inspired by our Dear me campaign to share your experience of major trauma, we want to hear from you. We're gathering as many stories as we can from people who have experienced catastrophic injuries. Your story could provide the hope and inspiration someone needs so they don't feel alone during their recovery.
